Ion Sciences Lab
Led by Dr. Alan Creamer Senior, Ion Sciences Lab is comprised of a team of scientists who have been at the forefront of teeth whitening science and technology for the past 35 years. During his prolific career, Dr. Creamer has directed the department of laboratory resources in the research division of Merck & Co. Inc., served as an member of the Executive Council at the Institute of Laboratory Resources at the National Academy of Sciences, in Washington, DC, and is a published scientist for the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland as well as that organization’s Vice Chairman of the International Scientific Committee.
Dr. Alan Creamer’s son, Alan A. Creamer, Junior, is also a devoted member of the Ion Sciences team. Alan A. Creamer has spent the last thirty years researching the science of healthy, radiant teeth. As one of the leading scientist to develop the technology behind the ubiquitous, light-based teeth whitening treatments now so popular in dentists’ offices, including the technology which became the famous, Zoom!® whitening system, Alan A Creamer, too, has a long, successful career of inventing the best teeth whitening technology for professional as well as at–home use. He has consulted for BriteSmile Tooth Whitening Centers on light safety issues and developed many of the modern dental treatments used world-wide today, like the NOVA composite curing and whitening systems on which he holds several US patents.
The Mist White system is the culmination of Ion Sciences Lab’s lifetime of dental research and delivers the most advanced teeth whitening system to date because of three key, exclusive technologies:
1. The powder catalyst, or activator, Accelerate, in the Mist White system, came out of Ion Sciences Lab’s experience in the dental chemical material industry. Accelerate is the first teeth whitening product of its kind because it is a “chemical catalyst”, ensuring maximum teeth whitening results are attained with the minimum amount of product and the least amount of time.
2. The development of a delivery system for a dental-strength teeth whitening gel. This was accomplished by suspending particles in a smaller size than those in teeth whitening products past. This is the key to faster and longer-lasting whitening.
3. “Sensitivity-free” whitening without sacrificing results. Mist White uses a 6%, 9%, and 12% (dental strength) hydrogen peroxide whitening gel while guaranteeing no sensitivity in teeth or gums. This is possible with the pre-application of the exclusive Repair & Shield formula.
These technologies are only available in the proprietary Mist White formulas.
Teeth Whitening Science
What is a Catalyst?
A Catalyst is a Chemistry term for a compound that provides an acceptable site for a specific chemical reaction to take place; or it may itself be an integral part of the reaction (one of the “reactants”). In either case, the maximum yield (result) will depend on effectively bringing the catalyst into contact with the reactants (“effective dispersion”). Mist White’s Accelerate powder is a powerful catalyst, essentially making the most whitening happen in the least amount of time and with the least amount of whitening agent. Accelerate super-charges your whitening experience in less time and with less product.
What Are Teeth Made Of?
“Because recent technology has allowed us to view the make up of teeth on a more intricate level than ever before, we have been able to identify more micronutrients in teeth than previously possible. Our Repair and Shield formula includes all of these nutrients. No other formula comes closer to what teeth are actually made of.”
